About
Dr Barnick has more than 30 years experience in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology and works both privately and within the NHS, seeing women with a range of complaints. He believes that every patient should be treated as an individual, and he provides personally tailored treatment that has been fully discussed and agreed with each patient.
He aims to deliver excellent outcomes with minimal risks of complications. Mr Barnick has a private practice at OBGYN Matters and Portland Hospital in London whilst also working as a part-time consultant at the Homerton University Hospital (NHS).
In addition to caring for women who are pregnant, Mr Barnick specialises in laparoscopic surgery, fibroids, endometriosis, and urogynaecology. He also offers well-woman checks, smear tests, and fertility checkups.
His private maternity care is centred around a principle of patient choice whether this is a natural vaginal birth or an elecective caesarean section. He offers complete pregnancy care, but, is also happy to see women for one off appointments and offers a number of different care packages. In his gynaecology practice Mr Barnick uses minimal access techniques to perform simple and complex gynaecological surgery to reduce hospital stay. He also runs an accredited NHS Tertiary referral centre for endometrioisis
Mr Barnick gained his medical degree from the University of London in 1984 before completing higher training in renowned teaching hospitals in London. He obtained membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1991 and went on to become a fellow in 2005. He has worked his entire career at leading London hospitals.
