Mr Bailey was always very approachable and friendly. He always explained things in a way that were easy to understand. Before and after the operation he came to see me on a few occasions. He was always cheerful and professional. He made what was not the most comfortable of operations all the more pleasant.

Mr Bailey was very friendly and explained everything regarding the knee 0peration, the staff at at Basingstoke were also friendly and very helpful I was well looked after.

From the very first consultation with Mr Bailey I felt very at ease. After reviewing my xrays he explained to me exactly what the problem was with my knee and how it could be corrected. He explained there were a number of different procedures that I could have from a short term to long term fix and also the recovery time on each different procedure. After speaking further to him I decided on a MAKO full knee replacement. I was given a date that my procedure would take place (Covid permitting) which was exactly the date I wanted. I received all the booking informs, pre - operation tests etc and invoice in plenty of time before my operation date. My operation in November went really well and during my stay in hospital I saw Mr Bailey at least once a day, sometimes twice which was reassuring. Approximately four weeks after my operation Iwas in a severe amount of pain and I phoned up Mr Baileys secretary and I was given an appointment to see him that day at the Nuffield. On seeing me, Mr Bailey arranged for me to have xrays taken and blood tests that day. He did this to be on the safe side but he was not worried as his experience told him that it was just a blip and the pain that I was experiencing could have been something that I had done e.g. just simply twisting my knee. The results were all good and within a few days the pain was subsiding but it was so reassuring to know that there was noting else going on like an infection or fracture. I felt my experience with Mr Bailey from the very first meeting to being discharged was very positive. He was kind, caring, very knowledgeable and extremely easy to talk to. He took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand.

Dr Bailey was brilliant. He listened attentively (not as common as it should be), took the time to ask lots of questions and understand my injury and situation and then provide a clear recommendation for an MRI which was turned around quickly. His summary notes arrived promptly and he took the time to clearly explain my results which was really helpful. I would highly recommend.

Chris undertook arthroscopy on my left knee. His approach was informative and relaxed and I just went with the flow feeling that I was in very capable hands throughout
