I was very impressed by the time Doctor Mittal spent with me and the empathy shown to the symptoms I am experiencing.

Mr Mottal was able to give me all the answers and explanations that I did not receive on my recent discharge from Watford Hospital. He helped put my mind at rest with a few questions I had about my condition, ongoing treatment and long term outlook. As I have various teams covering different aspects of my care, Mr Mittal is aware of everyone involved and will contact them so that all involved are aware of everyone’s role

Came to procedure terrified expecting pain. But Mr Mittal’s calm, kind attitude put me at ease. He is absolute professional expert and kind human being. I felt safe. At some point I asked him when is pain of this procedure going to hit me. He replied: it’s all done. So despite of My fear, I had no pain in his hands and no complications post procedure.

Dr mittal was very professional although I was disappointed in the outcome due to still not knowing what the issue is.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback which I always find helpful to reflect and improve my clinical care. I can appreciate how frustrating it must be when you do not find any disease by investigation or surgery to explain your symptoms. Chronic pelvic pain is one such perplexing condition where we do not always find the cause by performing laparoscopy. Many a times it is performed as a diagnostic procedure to rule out endometriosis or any other cause of pain because ultrasound scans can miss superficial pelvic endometriosis, therefore, even a negative laparoscopy is reassuring as it indicates no obvious endometriosis or other pathology. I apologise you felt that you were not given an adequate explanation after completion of the procedure. It may be that shortly after an operation it is not easy to assimilate large amount of information and I will consider this for my future patients by aiming to deliver more comprehensive explanations and checking if they are content with the information I have provided prior to their discharge. However if you have any further queries, I will be happy to see you in clinic.
