Explanation

I was treated by Mr Richards for a badly broken elbow a year ago. At my first consultation he explained clearly what needed to be done and his manner was cheerful, positive and encouraging. I had never been anaesthetised before and I was very anxious. He reassured me. My follow-up appointments with Mr Richards were very thorough and he recommended a very good physiotherapist. A year on the results of the surgery are excellent. I can straighten and bend my arm normally with no restriction or discomfort. The scar is hardly visible. I highly recommend Mr Richards.

My experience with Mr Richards was excellent. I saw him twice, for a shoulder fracture that had been quite traumatic and disabling. Both times he was caring, patient, reassuring, helpful, supportive, and encouraging. I felt well-informed and in excellent hands, understood what to expect going forward, what I could do myself and what treatment to seek from related professionals. He was happy to answer detailed questions and to give advice on a range of matters. His service was prompt and professional, as well as kind and friendly. Mr Richards was a huge help to me during a difficult and painful time, which I believe contributed positively to a good recovery. I highly recommend him to any prospective patients.

Explanation

After six (6) months of suffering and complaining of excruciating pain in my right dominant shoulder. I was recommend to Dr. Richards, at this stage I had no range of motion (ROM), unable to dress myself or even comb my hair. My very first consultation with Dr. Richards, I was petrified and worried that there was no outcome for the relentless pain. Dr. Richards took time to ensure that I was comfortable, once at ease and after a thorough examination, he sat and explained my condition and the treatments available. I learnt that I had severe Adhesive Capsulitis and Bursitis. Dr. Richards, operated on my shoulder 13 November, 2017. He truly is a blessed Doctor, who possess the ability to combine knowledge, expertise, human touch, old fashioned bedside manner, talent, patience, professionalism, proactive approach, confidence and love for his work, has made him a superb Sugeon. His naturally combined attributes, hands on and proactive approach is conveyed in his interaction and therefore provides the required confidence for the road ahead. My surgery was a success and Physiotherapy is ongoing. To date, some range of motion has returned and I can comb my hair and dress myself. I owe this successful outcome to Dr. Richards and his team of professionals. To the Fortius Team of professionals, thank you for your care, support, patience, and consideration during my surgery and after. I am indeed thankful. Warmest regards and love

I’ve had a torn ligament in my right shoulder. I’m now recovered so well, carrying on with life as normal including my weight training and it had slipped my mind that I had an operation. I would like take this opportunity to thank Mr Richards and his team including Chloe Merali for not only for surgical skill but for an excellent patient care and courtesy throughout.

My consultation with Mr Richards was a thoroughly positive experience. He was incredibly understanding of my condition, took the time to learn about my requirements and offered an honest opinion whilst keeping me informed of all possible options. He was highly professional, yet spoke to me as a friend rather than a patient. I have full faith in Mr Richards and truly could not recommmend him enough!

I had the privilege to be operated by Mr.Richards for a torn distal tendon in a rather advanced stage (almost one month after event): an amazing surgeon who combines superb experience and expertise with empathy, a super-professional who has the unique talent to convey confidence to a patient. I had not experienced since then (almost two years) any discomfort, any pain and any recess. I cannot recommend enough Mr.Richards. Almost two years had passed and I can do my chin-ups and press-ups and any sports activity like before the event.
