ANDREW HAS A CUTTING EDGE AND BLUE SKY APPROACH A brief description and how Andrew Renwick has been instrumental in my treatment plan and hence my recommendation. My medical history is complex and many surgeons advised that a stoma was necessary. Psychologically this was unacceptable to me. Mr Renwick listened and understood this. Andrew concisely explained all my options, operational plans/risks/potential complications including those very personal to myself. As there was several questions Andrew never tired in reiterating in a friendly personable manner and whatever time this took he gave including giving up his own personal time post operatively to visit me personally. As a long term Colitis sufferer and for this reason alone some surgeons were only prepared to do a total colectomy and/or delayed anastomoses. As I am now stoma free I can’t recommend Andrew strong enough because I know I have received nothing but the best of treatment in every step..... My forever thanks to Andrew.....

Mr Renwick was a breath of fresh air. He treated me professionally but with the perfect amount of bedside manner. Unfortunately having had many surgeries I’m well versed in Drs and surgeons that sometimes lack the skill to talk on a human aspect and see you as just “the job” but Mr Renwick had the right amount of both. He would explain the situation throughout and even made calls to my husband to explain what was happening. Mr Renwick called in every morning and every evening and and when my stay was extended and he was on annual leave he continued to call in to the hospital to check on me. Mr Renwick even called my husband after one visit to tell him how much better I was looking which due to the pandemic and him being some 70 miles away was a way of my husband having some peace of mind in the knowledge that I was being well looked after. In 20 years I have only ever had one Dr that treated patients like this and unfortunately he retired a long time ago, so his treatment was truly welcomed. Mr Renwicks care continued well after my discharge and he called many times to check things were going the way it should. He was able to give telephone consultations and video calls which was welcomed not only due to covid but also due to the long distance I would have to travel for appointments, so if I didn’t need to see him face to face he was happy to speak over the phone. I would definitely refer others to Mr Renwick and will continue to seek treatment under his care

Mr Renwick was absolutely fantastic. Made me feel at ease, he explained everything before the operation. After the operation he came to check on me and informed me how the operation went. I really appreciate him coming to see me after the surgery. He is really good and professional with fantastic bedside manners

I came across Dr Renwick after having negative experiences with other doctors regarding my pelvic floor prolapse. He was the first one to correctly diagnose my condition and come up with a surgical solution. His care was excellent. Dr Renwick was very reassuring prior to my surgery, the outcomes of which enabled me to have a normal life again.

Mr Renwick was fantastic with my care. He managed to fit me in for surgery within a short time frame. I was able to have a consultation with him prior to this, where he explained the surgery thoroughly. I had some questions which he was more than happy to answer. On the day of my surgery he ensured any additional questions were answered before I went to theatre. Whilst I was a patient he checked on me twice a day, gave me goals and reassured me of any sort side effects. My follow up appointment was booked well in advanced too.
