Mr Andrew Forester is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery. He is based in London and has over 25 years of specialist experience in orthopaedic surgery.
He completed his medical degree in 1984 from the University of Leicester. He completed his higher surgical training in Northwest Thames and became a Fellow in Orthopaedics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989. After training he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Trauma and Upper Limb Surgery than began practising as a Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare, Charing Cross Hospital, London.
To enhance his knowledge of orthopaedic principles, Mr Forester completed a degree in Design and Engineering at the Open University in 1993. He also completed a Diploma in French in 2001.
In his current consultant positions, he sees patients with sports injuries and common shoulder & elbow conditions, including: frozen shoulder, stiff elbow, rotator cuff injury, shoulder instability and tennis elbow. He has special interests in minimally invasive surgery, shoulder replacement surgery, shoulder resurfacing and shoulder stabilisation, among others. He has proven expertise performing a range of reconstructive procedures and both open and arthroscopic surgery.
Alongside consulting, Mr Forester actively teaches and trains general practitioners, residents and post-graduates. He is also a member of the Anglo-French Medical Society and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.

I saw Mr Forester with what turned out to be a frozen should. Immediately diagnosed and subsequent treatment was arranged. I am grateful to say treatment was successful. I would recommend Mr Forester, a very amiable doctor and obviously knows his area of expertise.
