Piers is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in disorders of the hand and upper limb. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and a member of the British Socieity for the Surgery of the Hand. He is also a Faculty Member of the AO Hand and Wrist Group.

He is a Consultant Surgeon based at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital Oswestry, where he sees NHS and Private Patients for general orthopaedic trauma and specialised hand and wrist surgery. He is also based at the Princess Royal Hospital Shrewsbury and Telford NHS GTrust. He consults privately at The Nuffield Hospital Shrewsbury and The Apley Clinic Telford.

He is married with two children - his family take up most of his spare time. However, his hobbies include rugby, skiing, fishing and training his badly behaved labradors
