My surgeon Alex Shortt is one of the good guys in the industry and I formed this opinion of him very early. I think I am a good judge of people and he was not only reassuring but is a really really nice man. Made me feel totally at ease about everything and even made me laugh. What a kind gentleman he is and I would recommend him and all of Optegra team at central London to anyone considering any type of eye surgery. If I compare it to my recent experience of optical express, it really is night and day. Well done guys and thank you for being such a top top man Mr Shortt

I had the pleasure of being treated by Mr Alex Short today who answered all my questions and explained thoroughly about my condition . I can honestly say I found my experience at the clinic very satisfying, I was quite concerned and distressed on arrival but left with total peace of mind. I have suffered with eye problems for the past ten years and today's consultation was by far the most rewarding, I left with confidence with the advice I had been given and the fact that if needed in future this was only a phone call away, I can totally recommend Mr Short to anyone with eye problems he is without a doubt the best consultant I've seen over the past ten years.

I would like to take a further opportunity of thanking you and all the staff at Optegra in Queen Anne Street for the attention and care I received during my visits to have lens replacement surgery to both of my eyes. It goes without saying that I would like to pay special praise to Alex Shortt, the surgeon who operated on my eyes, for his skills in what I describe as "bringing me out of a twilight world" after 60 years with severe short-sightedness. Based on my experiences, I would recommend him to anyone considering this type of surgery. However, despite his obvious surgical skills, where he also scores top marks is in "table manners", as this is an area where several doctor and consultants I have had the previous misfortune to meet have been sadly lacking. It is essential, particularly when meeting the surgeon for the first time, that the surgeon conducts himself in a manner that shows warmth, humility and kindness towards the patient, together with a smile on their face. Yes, the treatment comes at a cost, but there is no cost involved in easing the patient's initial nerves, both at the outset and throughout the treatment process. Best wishes to all at Optegra

Just wanted to drop you a note about my experience at Optegra. I have found the whole process to be 100 times less stressful and nerve wrecking that I expected. Nobody likes the thought of surgery, me even less as I have a thing about my eyes being operated on, but the staff have been excellent from my first phone call to aftercare. My surgeon, Alex Shortt, is one of the good guys in the industry and I formed this opinion of him very early. I think I am a good judge of people and he was not only reassuring, but is a really really nice man. Made me feel totally at ease about everything and even made me laugh. What a kind gentleman he is and I would recommend him and all of Optregra to anyone considering any type of eye surgery. I was pleasantly surprised at the bright, modern atmosphere when I checked in for my appointment. The front desk made me very comfortable with a nice warm cup of tea. My wait time was quite short and the gentleman that did my testing couldn't have been nicer. The Optometrist was equally lovely. I never felt rushed and she explained everything in a language I understood. Mr. Alex Shortt has a great smile and he made me feel I was in competent hands . I had many questions and he was very generous with his time. My entire experience at Optegra on Queen Anne in London met and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Mr. Shortt and his team.
