Explanation

Mr Akash Patel has provided me with fantastic service and treatment. He has managed to fit me in at short notice. He discussed the pros and cons for surgery on a wrist fracture in detail, was available to discuss any follow-up concerns and help me reach a decision I was happy with, as it was a difficult decision that I had to make. He managed to find an operating slot very quickly, as it was important I had the surgery asap, even though it was the run up to Christmas. I was very confident in Mr Patel's ability to perform, the operation, which included needing to rebreak my wrist. After care and advice has been amazing too.

Mr Patel was able to see me very quickly. He took time assessing the injury but more importantly the impact it has had and can have in the long term. He had so much empathy and compassion and then discussed a plan for my long term benefit. He is a brilliant surgeon!

Explanation

Mr Akash Patel performed a very successful knee replacement on me. At the first appointment he was friendly, sincere and approachable and was willing to answer my questions. He explained the pros and cons of the operation as well as discussing how important my approach would also be to ensure success. His professionalism before during and after left me in no doubt that he is an extremely proficient surgeon and as such the whole experience left me confident in his hands. I met with him after the operation and again a few weeks later where he went into detail about the procedure and outcomes. By taking his advice I was able to recover very quickly and I am extremely grateful to him for the whole experience and feel so lucky to have been one of his patients.
