Mr. Adam Way is a consultant spinal surgeon who specialises in treating patients with neck and back problems. After qualifying, he undertook his orthopaedic surgical training at Barts and the Royal London Hospital, spending 2 years in the spinal unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and a further year doing an advanced spinal fellowship.
He routinely uses a microscope and minimally invasive techniques for spinal degenerative, trauma and tumour work. These skills assist patients with their rehabilitation and also reduce their length of stay in hospital.
Mr. Way is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons. He has written papers and presented nationally and internationally on spinal conditions, regularly lectures on spinal and trauma surgery, and is Membership Secretary of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons.

He has a good bedside manner and was very understanding of my phobia which made discussing my procedure difficult for him.

Very professional, personable, explains problems and solutions very well. He did a very successful disc replacement in my cervical spine, fixed my problem with no other risks occurring. I would highly recommend Mr Way, I trust him 100% with my spine.

Mr Way was a Gentleman. He was polite, listened and explained everything very clearly. After many years of suffering with chronic pain, I am so happy I haven met Mr Way, who was really understanding of my problem and described distinctly what could be done to possibly help my situation.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this lovely review. We are extremely pleased you are so delighted both with your treatment, and the way you were treated, both of which are as important as each other.

Mr Way was kind and took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me. I never felt rushed and he answered all of the questions I had, which helped me to understand which treatment would be beneficial.
It is always lovely to hear that our consultants come across as kind; listening to the individual concerns and questions patients have is all part of the great treatment we aim to deliver. Thank-you so much for letting us know, and taking the time to write this review.

Mr Way’s consultancy showed respect, candour and interest. His explanation wasn’t just clear and relevant, but he took time to give me insight with a balance of accessible information without ‘dumbing it down’. I was consulted as an individual vs another middle-aged man with sciatica symptoms. The result left me confident in the recommended solution, and impressed with the genuine communication and care I received.
We are so pleased to hear you felt you were well-informed about the treatment you needed, in way that reassured you and also made you feel your concerns and questions were listened to as an individual patient. Thanks for taking the time to tell us, and leave this review.

Considered advice to get to the right solution. Clearly outlined risks and likelihood. Went the extra mile to get a theatre slot in at the earliest opportunity. Ultimately, seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks for taking the time to write this great review, and we hope we always go the extra mile for our patients, particularly if their need for care is critical. We glad the treatment has solved the problem too!

Mr. Way is a very kind and considerate surgeon. He was very sympathetic to my ongoing spinal issues which are very complicated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr. Way.
Thank-you for leaving this lovely review. And we are very pleased to hear that you felt cared for emotionally as well as physically, as all of our consultants consider both to be important when dealing with all of their patients.
