Very professional experience and felt confident going into both my Cataract eye surgeries. Any questions I had were answered.

After very thorough tests and eye examinations my one worry was that my eyes would not be suitable for Clarivu, but the vision correction consultant Mr Rehman soon put me to ease and said I was a sutiable candidate. He explained all the different treatments I could have to my son and I, and after we had asked all the questions we wanted answering and on receiving reassuring answers from Mr Rehman, I elected to go ahead with the procedure. On my first appointment which was for my left eye the staff were very reassuring and professional and they and Mr Rehman guided me through the procedure which only took 20 minutes and was completely painless. The results were immediate, everything was so pin sharp, colourful and bright. A week later I had my right eye done and unlike my left eye, my vision was a little fuzzy for a couple of days. I telephoned Optegra and was told that this was not uncommon and it would clear, which was indeed the case. Three months later my eyesight is fantastic, I can read the telephone directory without any help, can thread a needle, and have taken up dressmaking again, these are things I haven't been able to do for years, my husband says Ive got teenage eyes.I would recommend Mr Rehman, his team and all at the Yorkshire Eye Hospital for their care, professionalism and expertise in this procedure, and I would suggest to anyone thinking about having Clarivu that they should go ahead.

I had lens replacement surgery in March 2018 at the Optegra Manchester hospital. My initial consultation with Mr Rehman was very thorough and he explained what outcome I could expect given my slightly unusual prescription. Given the huge difference between my eyes, he recommended doing both eyes in the one procedure. Outcome was fantastic and made me think why I hadn't had it done years ago!! All the Optegra team I met at Manchester were helpful, professional and caring. Mr Rehman is a great surgeon, he doesn't over promise and delivers what he says he will. No pain, no discomfort and a very stress free procedure. More than happy to recommend.

I recently had LASEK Eye Surgery with Optegra and I am very pleased with the outcome and my experience. I attended an open evening where information was provided on many different surgeries. All the attendees were much older than myself so I will say this was very much orientated around lens replacement surgery, rather than one which would suit myself, as I am younger (20). However, once all the questions had been asked I managed to speak to Dr Rehman and ask about a surgery more suitable for myself. In my consultation, the surgery appropriate for me was fully explained and all my questions were answered. In the time between my consultation and the date of my surgery Eileen Haynes was extremely helpful with any queries I had and sorting all paperwork for me. On the day of my surgery, all the staff at the Leeds clinic were super welcoming and friendly. They made me feel very at ease and comfortable. The surgery was very quick, relaxed and Dr Rehman was amazing. The only confusion for myself is I was lead to believe I was allowed someone in the surgery room with me to help put me at ease however this was not the case, I went into the room before surgery, and during surgery alone. This did put me slightly on edge as I was nervous and would of liked my mum to be with me, however I understood the circumstances. After surgery all the nurses were so caring and very kind towards me. All aftercare was explained and that was it! The first week after surgery was very uncomfortable (which was to be expected) and my vision was not great. However this improved over time and now I can confidently say getting LASEK Eye Surgery was the best decision I ever made. I cannot thank Dr Rehman and all the Optegra team enough for looking after me and making my experience the best it could be. I would recommend them to anyone!

I have now had my 'new eyes' for 4 years. What a difference it makes . while all my friends are scrabbling for specs or squinting at menus on our Girls night out I am the only one that can read them with ease - even the tiny print !! What has triggered me to write this review 4 years on you may ask ? Two reasons . I recently developed a capsule on one of my lens. This needed attention which was dealt with literally in minutes . the whole process dealt with by Eileen and Mr Rehman and their efficient professional and friendly manner. I had also been aware at the beginning of the process the was an easily remedied possible side effect . However what it did do was highlight how much I had taken for granted how my much new lens replacements had enhanced my life . No looking for specs every 5 minutes no travelling on holiday with contact lenses and fluids and prescription sun specs etc . An added bonus whilst I initially was very aware it was a significant cost of having clarivue lenses what I have already saved in not purchasing specs and contacts has already paid for half the original cost. For any that like my were quite concerned about the actual procedure I can guarantee that for me it was fast absolutely pain free ( although a strange experience ) and instant results !! my only regret not having them done sooner!

I had lots of questions and everything was openly discussed with me. I followed up with even more questions via email which were replied to. I was given a realistic explanation of the expected outcome. Even though I was still nervous, I had done my research and decided to go ahead. So far, the results have been very good. On the journey down, I needed reading glasses and on the way back, I didn’t. I was given the option of different lenses as I am an artist and need to observe images at close and middle distance. I followed the advice and am able to see easily to paint. I was told that colours may appear brighter and that has been the case so I am needing to adjust to that. I also see haloes around lights at night but even if this persists, the fact I can see without glasses outweighs other changes

My experience at optegra was fabulous the First Lady I spoke to was brilliant she answered all my worrying questions and then kept asking me if there was anything I didn't understand she told me the different types of lenses that I could have as I had cataract on both my eyes and at the age off 63 I was very worried. But then I went to see the consultant straight after the lady and what an excellent consultant he was He asked me everything about myself what my experience was with my eyes and then proceed to tell me about what my options was I have never felt so at ease. I have had both eyes done and have Full 20/20 vision and don't need any glasses at all and when you have been wearing glasses as long as me from the age of 14 what a difference it makes to your life it has given me more confidence in myself and my appearance.i cannot thank them enough And have & would recommend them to any one that is thinking of having it done a100 presents thank you Optegra

After wearing glasses for at least 48 years and not being able to have laser surgery I made an appointment to see Mr Rehman at optegra Yorkshire. From my first appointment I Was told I was a perfect candidate for lens replacement surgery and from that day on I have never looked back. Had the surgery last October and since then my sight has got better and better , I could not see a thing without my glasses as had very poor vision I wore varifolcales and also had an astigmatism . I can not believe the difference it has made I have 20/20 vision I can now tell which is the shampoo when in the shower! The procedure is quick pain free and you are made to feel at ease by all the lovely staff . I would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking about it (just do it you will not regret) I would also recommend Mr Rehman and his lovely team at optegra Yorkshire

Clarivu is simply one of the best things I have ever done, and being able to dispense with glasses is a dream come true. In the past, despite my best efforts, I have never had a pair of glasses that have fitted comfortably, even after choosing lightweight frames and lenses. Although being aware that Clarivu might be an option for me, I was quite anxious about the procedure, however after a consultation with Mr Rehman I felt confident and happy to go ahead with the treatment. The surgery itself was calm and relaxed and the nursing staff all extremely reassuring. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Clarivu and last but not least I wanted to say a big Thank you to Mr Rehman and all his team.

fantastic, marvellous, amazing, brilliant, I honestly could go on, and still not find enough words to describe how it feels to be glasses-free. The treatment was pain free, I had no problems and for the sake of 15-20 minutes for the procedure to take place was fantastic. Mr Rehman and his staff are wonderful, they care about what they do and it shows in the care and attention they give you. Thank you.
