Mr Rajiv Limaye is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, he is an examiner for The Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh, and he is also an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Teesside.
He graduated in 1993 as a Medical Doctor and a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in India. For the next 10 years, he completed Orthopaedic and Trauma training at both Junior and Senior registrar level in Liverpool, London, and Oxford.
He completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic surgery and following this, it allowed his name to be placed on the specialist register in the UK in 2005. In the same year, he was given the title as NHS Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma surgery and he is currently working at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Very informative and to the point

He is both an excellent surgeon and a wonderful Doctor. He explains everything in detail snd answers any and all questions however silly they might be. He puts you and ease and gives you the time to discuss any concerns.

Mr limaye explained everything clearly and gave a thorough examination of my ankle. He was professional, courteous and caring from my first consultation, surgery and throughout aftercare. He gave the opportunity to ask any questions, made time to answer and answered them honestly. He made the experience very relaxed and calm and I had complete trust in him as a professional.

I saw Mr Limaye about a persistent injury and instability in my ankle. Pre and post surgery the consultations have been excellent, with causes, options and recommendations explained clearly. It struck me how efficient the consultations were, and yet never rushed. It is 7 months since the operation and I am continuing to build up my activity level, now that the ankle feels stable. I shall be seeing Mr Limaye again in a few months time to assess my other ankle. Thank you.

Dr Limaye lives up to his reputation. Kind and caring and he understood the impact of my lifestyle in which was in his hands. I can now for the first time in years, play in the garden with my children, play sport again, hike, fish etc. All of which was extreme agony prior to my surgery. My family and I are extremely grateful
