I can truly say that my experience as a patient of Mr De' Liguori Carino (hereafter LC)and his team, especially Sister Sharan Ingram (hereafter SI), has been so positive that it has restored my faith in the NHS. I was seen quickly, got a firm date for both operations (March 2017 and November 2018) and received clear and unpatronizing, explanations. Although I knew that my condition was serious, any interaction I have had with either LC or SI has unfailingly left me feeling more positive. All in all, I am very grateful to all those who have looked after me.

I am a 79 year old man ,and I have just had my gall bladder removed in dec 2018, my experience was excellent, everything was explained to me very clearly , the operation procedure, the risks and the after care and at my age going into hospital can be a risky and scary time , Mr De’Leguori and his team really looked after me . I had no infection after surgery and a very neat scar , and if I needed surgery again I would look no further as to be in the very capable hands of Mr De’ Ligouri a true gentleman .. thankyou for looking after me , to you and your whole team

Mr Nicola de'Liguori Carino recently looked after me when I had gallbladder problems. At the first consultation he listened very carefully to what I said without any interruption or talking over me, which I think is important. He diagnosed the issue and treated me very quickly by removing my gallbladder. I am now fully recovered from the operation which was just a couple of months ago. His manner is very caring and compassionate, he explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions in terms I could understand. I can highly recommend him.

Mr de Liguori has been extremely thorough when diagnosing my recurrent hernia. His Dr to Patient manner is excellent and he is very caring. He explains everything in detail. My initial procedure did not go to plan but this was not as a result of the surgery Mr de Liguori completed, it ended up more complicated than we first anticipated. I was very happy with the care given and am returning for follow up op within the next few weeks. I would recommend Mr de Ligouri

Nicola is very pleasant to deal with he assessed my problem (umbilical hernia) and explained the options available and recommended that it be dealt with rather than hope it get worse. He explained what was involved and listened to my concerns regarding my condition and we booked in to have the operation. An hour after I arrived home he rang me to apologise that he was in USA on that date so we moved it post Xmas. I liked the fact he called to apologise rather than just passing it on to his secretary. He wrote to my GP explaining what was going to happen cc was sent to my home. On the day of the operation he again ran through the details of what was to be done and did it as explained. Once I was awake he gave me an update and set a follow up 2 weeks later. After 2 weeks I went and was concerned that the hernia had popped out but he allayed those fears explaining it was purely a hematoma. A final follow-up was set for 5 weeks later where everything was fine. He again wrote to my GP discharging me. Throughout he has been polite, informative and professional I would definitely recommend him to friends and colleagues.

From my first consultation I was really impressed with Mr de'Liguori Carino. I found that he was willing to listen to the issues I was experiencing and acted without delay. From the first appointment to the post operative consultation Mr de' Liguori Carino gave excellent care and advice. I found him easy to talk to without any pressure to hurry. Not all consultants show understanding and empathy with their patients but Mr de' Liguori Carino did. A great consultant who is very personable. I think he must also possess excellent organisational skills too as the whole time I was under his care, all correspondence and appointments were very prompt. I completely trusted him with my operation and felt in safe hands at all times. Hopefully he will be able to complete my 2nd operation as I think he understands how this issue has affected me for nearly 2 years. It is scary undergoing surgery so having someone you trust like Mr de' Liguori Carino makes the whole process easier. I feel very lucky to have been under his care and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to others.

I have nothing but praise for Mr De'Liguori and his team for the care I received before, during and after my liver resection surgery in October. Procedures were explained clearly, including all risks and possible complications during the operation and my questions and concerns following the surgery were addressed.
Thank you, I am glad you had a positive experience

My wife has pancreatic cancer and she has been receiving chemotherapy for the past 20 months. We wish to explore alternative or addition treatments and thanks to Pancreatic Cancer UK we contacted surgeon Mr Nicolas to explore the possibility of Irreversible Electroporation IRE also known as Nanoknife being pursued.Throughout the referral process Mr Nicola responded personally in providing clear explantations. Unfortunately following indepth explorations it was concluded that my wife's particular condition was not suited to the IRE treatment option.Nevertheless we wouldnt hesitate to recommend Mr Nicola as a very informed IRE keyhole surgery resource together with a very caring and approach able manner.

Several weeks ago I had an operation at Highfield Hospital to repair an umbilical hernia. It was a large hernia but the end result was brilliant. The surgeon was Mr. Nicola de Liguori Carino who I would highly recommend. He is not only very competent but very caring. Thank you for doing such a great job!
