Mr Nicola de'Liguori Carino

Mr Nicola de' Liguori Carino is registered Consultant Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and General Surgeon currently practising in the UK.

Mr de' Liguori Carino completed his surgical training in 2005 in Italy, with a period spent at the Ohio University Hospital, Columbus, USA. Mr de' Liguori Carino spent 4 years training in HPB and transplant surgery at the University of Liverpool and Leeds before being appointed as a Consultant in Manchester in 2009.

Mr de' Liguori Carino specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole), hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery working in one of the busiest HPB Unit in Europe. His main interests are in disease of the liver, gallbladder, biliary system and pancreas. He also has an extensive practice in hernias repairs.

He has experience in the treatment of gallstone disease with the most modern techniques with emphasis on rapid access to treatment and recovery. He treats extremely complex cases of benign and malignant tumours of the liver and of the pancreas. His skills include advanced laparoscopic surgery and Irreversible Electroporation (IRE). He is active in in liver and pancreas cancer research programs taking part in multiple ongoing international clinical trials.
