About
Mr. Mohamed Abo Abo Khatwa qualified in 1992 from the Alexandria Medical School, Egypt. He then completed his specialist ENT training in North West of England and North Wales. In addition, he completed a year of accredited fellowship in Rhinology (Nasal and sinus surgery) at Derriford University hospital in Plymouth.
Mr. Khatwa has been a consultant since 2014, in 2016 he was appointed as a general ENT consultant with specialist interest in Rhinology (Nose and sinus surgery) in Royal Devon & Exeter hospital (RD&E). He currently works between RD&E and North Devon District hospitals.
Mr. Khatwa covers a wide range of general ENT referrals including adult and children, he has particular interest in nasal and sinus diseases as well as snoring.
In addition to his busy practice, he currently holds a Senior lecturer position for the University of Exeter Medical school (UEMS) as well as the speciality lead for the medical school, teaching the next generation of doctors.
Mr. Khatwa is also active in research, and has made a concerted effort to contribute to various projects through publications in peer reviewed journals as well as international and national presentations.

Completey put me at ease from the moment we met. I Opened up about a bad start to my teen life that I chose and was not proud of. And wanted to look to for look any lasting damage. It didn't phase him at all or look down on me either. I just wanted to give the full picture, Being a father of 2 young boys now,1 0 years married and running a company in this total show of sh*te after surviving the pandemic. Mental stress made me physically ill. Mr Khatwa carried out extensive checks and again after 6 weeks later. Relieved me of all my main worries :) Very professional consultant and wouldn't have any doubs about returning if I need help in the future 😀 im sticking to my reccomdations, and I feel back in the embrace side of life 😊 Thankyou

Mr Mohamed Abo Khatwa, A really nice chap would have given advice but always listened to his patient. So pleased to have had the opportunity to meet him and so pleased with the procedure he had performed.

I found Mr Khatwa very easy to talk to and he explained everything very well. He has a very pleasant manner with his patients and answered any questions I had. Most importantly he fixed my problem with a minimum of fuss.

Generally very good and will recommend. Only concern is that I'm not 100% clear on what was the root cause of the health issue that has hopefully been fully resolved by Mr Khatwa and the pharmacy was not able to issue the prescription in full due to issues with the shelf life of the medication.

Dr Khatwa was so kind, especially when I had my operation. He was the perfect mix of professional and friendly. He’s also very approachable, I couldn’t of had a better experience.
