Mr Matthews explained why a rotator cuff repair was not suitable for me due to muscle atrophy and the condition of my tendons. I had an MRI and a CT scan to confirm the condition of my shoulder.

Hip Replacement

I had my left hip replaced by Gareth in May 2022. Gareth was excellent, explained everything and answered all of my questions. The operation went very well, I was walking on crutches in 12 hours and was off them in 2 weeks. The whole replacement was brilliant and I was back riding my bike within 6 weeks on the road, even competed in my first time trial event in 3 months

I cannot recommend Gareth enough, his surgical skills has allowed me to resume my normal fitness lifestyle and plan new races for 2023
