Mr Jeremy Rowe is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with over 20 years of specialist clinical experience specialising in Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Oxford in 1988. He completed his medical training, specialist neurosurgery training and specialist fellowship in Oxford. During his training he developed his specialist expertise in stereotactic neurosurgical practice and since 2018, he exclusively practices in stereotactic radiosurgery.
During his specialist fellowship with the Medical Research Council, Mr Rowe gained experience in the use of magnetic resonance techniques in neurosurgery.
He is based in Sheffield and currently practices privately at Thornbury Radiosurgery - Gamma Knife Centre in Thornbury Hospital.
Mr Rowe has performed thousands of radiosurgery treatments during the two decades of his consultant career. He has special interests in neuro-oncology, including cerebral metastases, brain tumours and pituitary tumours, as well as skull base pathologies, including trigeminal neuralgia. He also has expertise in acoustic neuromas, cavernomas, meningioma, vascular malformations and vestibular schwannomas.

I found Mr Rowe friendly , with a soft manner ,his explanations of the steps to be taken with the procedure were clear and unhurried. Having had gamma knife surgery 12 years ago, I can say that I wasn’t looking forward to having the cage screwed onto my head, however I found Mr. Rowe’s method much better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr. Rowe to anybody needing his expertise.
