For me, the top in his profession in the UK and probably in Europe.

I always felt I was in assured and experienced hands with Mr. Sabin. He explained everything thoroughly and in a way that was understandable to a lay person, stating the options and the pros and cons for each. He was attentive, efficient and kind.

Words are not enough to paise Mr Sabin! Mr. Sabin performed a Craniotomy (basically a big hole in the skull) on a terrified 76 year old me and I am more than alive to tell the tale. I read about all sorts of doom laden issues from Dr Google and thankfully none prevailed. ICU was no fun but it was only for a day. I had no pain to speak of and although some months on still have some minor headaches and tiredness it's nothing compared to my fears. When I show friends and family photos of the Op and then the top of my head now, they are amazed that the scar is almost invisible. To me Mr Sabin (it's "Mr." not "Dr." which always confuses me) is a genius, but I must also say that the Anaesthetist Dr. Chris Taylor, Alina Leong's physio team, my Cardiologist Charlotte Manisty, the Chenies Mews Imaging Centre, Mr. Sabin's PA Shanta Sami, and all the nurses at The Wellington Hospital were all wonderful. If I could give SIX stars, to alI of them, I would. I found it very difficult to find out, in advance, who to go to for Brain Surgery and I hope this review helps others who are in same boat as I was. If you have a choice ... choose "Mr." (H) Ian Sabin! If not I suggest you get your head examined.

Had a discussion with Mr Sabin re a tumour. My case was reviewed at MDT and I felt given a very honest opinion of no surgery at this point. Emails etc from Mr Sabin and his secretary were on time and prompt. Felt I was being listened to and my concerns understood. Would have no hesitation in using this surgeon if ever needed.

Ian has to be the top neurosurgeon in the UK; what an operator, gentleman, and he will always go the extra mile to help and reassure you. I adore perfection, Ian delivers it in bucket loads, from the initial consultation, right through the surgery, recovery, week in The Wellington, bi-annual scans, helping me with my driving license reinstatement ... the list goes on and on ...

Mr Sabin was able to make my treatment remotely while performing brain surgery in another hospital. This caused me no concern at all as it was done in such an efficient and professional manner
