I was made at all times feeling an equal not a doctor patient higherarchy If i did not understand a thing it was explained to me in wordi ng I understood During the actual time of the procedure a happy relaxed feeling was present from all the staff I asked Mr Sherafat at the initial assesment if he knew of John Hungerford, who was my brother in law & a world leading consultant I admit I did not say my connection tell after his reply which was my way of checking Mr Sherafats's credentials & this he did excellently Iwas told that 30 procedures a day was a possibility but at no time did I have the feeling I was on a "factory conveyor belt" Thank you to all the people who were involved

Clear explanation of the procedure , good notes on aftercare following surgery . Mr Sherafat answered all my questions so I felt I had a clear understanding of the risks and benefits before proceeding . Mr Sherafat has good interpersonal skills so gaining the trust of his patients and he has a nice understated sense of humour to reduce any anxiety a patient may have.

The procedure was clearly explained to me and during thr procedure Mr. Sharafat explained what was happening. I felt completely confident throughout. The follow up instructions concerning eye drops were very clear.

This was the follow up visit after my second cataract operation. That had gone very well. Mr Sherafat was encouraging about my new level of vision and took time to explain that I would be allowed to drive once I had my new glasses. FECD had been an issue and Mr Sherafat had explained throughout the implications of this. In the event he was able to tell me that my cornea was fine and seemed genuinely pleased.

I KNEW AT ALL TIMES WHAT STAGE OF THE PROCEDURE WAS OCCU8RING BAR WHEN I WAS UNDER SEDATION. I HAD NO WORRIES AS THE PROCEDURE WAS BEING CARRIED OUT BY PEOPLE WHO OBVIOUSLY KNEW THIER JOBS I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED HOW QUICKLY THE WHOLE PROCEDURE WAS COMPLETED IN & THE AMOUNT OF VISION I HAD AFTER THE PRCEDURE. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE SIGHT WAS SETTLING DOWN & BY THE 5TH DAY POST PROCEDURE I WAS COMFY ENOUGH TO START DRIVING AGAIN, ADMITTEDLY ONLY LOCAL ROADS AT FIRST. THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED FOR SUCH A SMOOTH OPERATION

It was a 10/10 experience for me, very professional, fully explained and I had no concerns or issues.

I had a thorough examination of my eyes , and given a clear wsy forward for treatment.
