Mr Cahill ,was excellent throughout , good communication before ,during and after op. I would say above and beyond. simple explanations , approachable and understanding , without being forceful

Mr Cahill was caring and compassionate from day one,and my experience of the royal marsden was first rate.declan and the staff there were fantastic.i also appreciated the humour he injected too in what was a quite stressful time.he contacted me the night before my operation which was so welcome,and also after the procedure.would clearly recommend if anyone else found themselves in my situation.a very nice man and a great surgeon

From my first meeting with Declan, I found him to be very friendly, incredibly reassuring and a confident guide through the journey I would take. There was never any doubt in my mind that surgery was the best option for me and that the man I wanted to perform it, was Declan!

Declan's knowledge, skill and expertise was outstanding and countered my pre-op anxiety with post-op amazement at the ease and speed with which I recovered. Incontinence was never (and still isn't) an issue and apart from some short term 'slackening' of erectile function I can honestly say I felt back to 100% within a matter of days. I would rate Declan's surgical abilities extremely highly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others facing similar procedures. (Robotic Radical Prostatectomy at age 67 with Gleason 4+3)

Right from the offset, my experience with Mr Cahill was faultless. What has always stuck in my mind were the phone calls i received, the night before the procedure (extremely well received !) and most importantly the day after the procedure. Mr Cahill's empathy & knowledge/tone of exactly what to say/how to say it were impeccable. His ability to put my mind at rest was incredibly invaluable.

As you only have your prostate removed once, you want to make sure that the procedure is done well! Having been referred to Declan after my diagnosis, it was clear that he and his team were entirely focused on taking great care of every patient that they had responsibility for. Communication was always open and honest and available 24x7 both before and after the procedure. Recovery was swift and better than I was expecting. My wife and I will be forever grateful to Declan and his team.
