Mr Amal Bose is a respected Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Blackpool. He specialises in coronary artery revascularisation, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and atrial fibrillation surgery. He also routinely performs minimally invasive aortic valve procedures including sutureless valves, trans-apical and percutaneous TAVI. He has been granted fellowship of the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Mr Bose studied medicine at St Georges' Hospital Medical School London, completing his general surgical training in Brisbane Australia before gaining a research MD at The Hatter Institute part of University College, London.

He received Cardiothoracic training on the northern rotation between The Freeman Hospital Newcastle and The James Cook University Hospital Middlesbrough, ending with a fellowship at St Vincents Hospital Sydney.
