I really am most grateful for what you have done. Thank you.
Thank you for your kindness and dedicated care. It has been a true privilege to be your patient.
Miss Bojanic, You operated on my husband's spine. I write to Thank you as within one week of surgery I was free of symptoms.Thank you.
Dear Miss Bojanic, Thank you so much for you excellent work while performing the microdiscectomy on my back. The operation was successful beyond my expectation, allowing me to be immediately pain-free after months of severe discomfort. You are a wonderful physician and i will highly recommend you to anyone with the same condition. Thank you very much.
Amazing specialist who always has time to discuss any problems or fears you have which makes her very approachable
It is difficult to convey my thoughts in-clinic - hence the note to say thank you for the year you have cared for me and for the kindness and compassion you have shown. I know that the pseudomeningocele is a problem in itself, but I am fortunate enough to still be able to walk with no further deterioration in my legs which was so important going into the operation. In clinics, although we discuss the complexities following my operation in April, I wanted you to know how grateful I am to you for your wonderful bedside manner and for the many complex operations you have performed on me over the year for enabling me to live the full life I have today and for being an amazing surgeon. I will still never be able to convey in person or in wirting jsut how gratful I am for being fortunate enough to have such an amazing person care for me. It is very easy to complain in life but so very improtant to show gratitufe and express sincere thanks to you.
The very best wishes to you and your team. All 'Ok' with me. Thanks to you all.
Thank you for providing such great care. The surgery was life-changing. Miss Bojanic was kind and very professional, thanks a lot
Stana has coordinated my care brilliantly, throughout these 8 years. I do respect you and you for your patience and professionalism.
From my first consultation to my post op discharge review Miss Bojanic has been extremely thorough and has a great ability to discuss complex neuro issues in a way that is understood. Also she has a first class team who ensured that I was well looked after. Thank you.
As ever, prompt analysis of theproblem, explanation of the proposed treatment and an excellent result. i know i am in safe hands with Miss Bojanic.
I requested to transfer into Miss Bojanic’s care because Iit would mean I could have the condition of my spine monitored annually and allow my treatment to be preventative rather than curative under my previous consultant. Following my first annual monitoring it was apparent that I would inevitably need to have more surgery. Miss Bojanic fully appraised me of my options allowing me to make an informed decision, and additionally followed up all the details and risks in writing. Subsequently, my surgery went ahead as scheduled and it went so well that I was discharged from hospital the next day, free of pain relief in less than three weeks and back to work after just four weeks. Along the way Miss Bojanic has taken really good care of me and feel that I am in good hands as my monitoring continues. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend her to anyone with spinal issues and of course would like to thank her for the treatment I’ve received so far.
Thank you very much to Miss Bojanic and her team for looking after and treating my wife so well when she was in the Neuro wards at The John Radcliffe. I know that she was extremely poorly and all the care and treatment she received from Miss Bojanic means that she will be home soon and we are ever so grateful for that. After being transferred out of The John Radcliffe to another facility, my wife is making a good recovery. Most of her memory has now returned and she is receiving physio for a weak right leg which is slowly increasing in strength. Thank you, and your team for everything!
I feel compelled to write and express my deepest thanks and admiration to Stana and her team of specialists who saved my wife's life. The way in which everyone spoke to me and my daughters with a quiet confidence and caring attitude, gave us all reassurance that my wife was in the right place. Your surgeon, radiographer and the ITU were all so professional but caring and understanding of our situation of anxiety and bewilderment, and of course, total lack of knowledge of what had happened to my wife. The staff nurses on the ward and all the support staff again provided a level of care that does your department proud! It is still early days but my wife continues to make a little progress every day. This has been a life changing experience for us all and I feel I must put back something to show our appreciation. We are forever in your debt and and thank all those involved for their professionalism and care.
I am 50years old and I had a disk bulge in my lower spine. I was referred to Miss Stana Bojanic by Nick Birch in Northampton. Stana reviewed the scans of my back and thought it was a reasonable request to have a micro discectomy to remove the issue, as the conservative approach had not worked up to that point (physio, injection was not an option). As well as the benefits of having the operation Stana also went through with me all the possible outcomes of the operation, some less likely than others. This would be my first operation and Stana calm and professional approach reduced greatly any anxiousness that I had. I was operated on 1st August; Stana met with me before the operation to inform me what the intension was and again went through all the possible outcomes could be. After having the operation Stana spoke with me briefly in the recovery room, informing me that she had removed one large piece of disc and some smaller fragments and said the operation went well, not damage occurring to the spinal wall etc. I think I then saw Stana again who checked my drain. I was sent home the next day after some physio. I then had a follow-up consultation with Stana 5 weeks later who then discharged me from here care to my local physio. I can certainly say that before my operation I was in a lot of pain, crawling on the floor for a week or two, the operation took away this pain straight away, of which I have had none since. Even though this was physically a negative situation for me the whole experience I look at positively, Stana always filled me with confidence and reduced greatly any fears that I had along the way. Stana was always available to answer any issues or questions that I had. Thank you Stana for getting rid of my pain and fixing me Thanks.
Miss Bojanic operated on my back and it worked superbly. I have absolutely no pain and have been able to carry on my life as normal. I was very lucky to have had Miss Bojanic as my surgeon, she was kind, decisive and communicative.
I wanted to take the time to thank Stana for all of the work and help that she provided me over the last year. I know that there are far more serious cases than my tumour to deal with, but to me it has been a very testing period of my life. To be honest I was given many different views and information about what I had that I found it difficult to cope sometimes. I know that whenever Stana sees me her words carry reassurance and generate a trust that I had not found with other consultants. It is no exaggeration to that it is largely only in Stana that I have found trust and respect. It is been an interesting journey and I am very grateful to have been under Stana's care and expertise. I often mention Stana's name to other as I hold her in very esteem and would have no problem recommending her to others.
Thank you to Stana for her care and ever endevour to try to relieve me from my pain. I will not forget her kindness!
Words can't really express the gratitude I feel to Miss Bojanic and her team for the outcome of my operation to remove the meningioma from my spinal column. The success and outcome of the operation has meant the world to me and means my life can get back to normal.
I was asked to comment on my recent experience of an operation I had earlier this year on my lower back, I must admit responding to surveys or reviewing products is something I wouldn't normally do. However, it was with no persuasion that I have pleasure in giving my feedback on my experience and Miss Bojanic's surgery, pre and post surgery care. Having experienced a prolapsed disc and surgery over 10 years ago I was more than a little upset to have a re occurrence of the same issue slightly higher up my back earlier this year. I am very fortunate to have private medical insurance which allowed me access to treatment very quickly. I contact Miss Bojanic as soon as possible to discuss. I was seen very quickly and having an MRI scan in very short time. Miss Bojanic explained thoroughly and professionally my options due to the prolapsed disc in the lower back. This inevitably needed surgery as there were no other long-term options. At no point in the process did I feel that the decision was not mine. Pre-surgery I was visited and put at ease and my questions, which I had asked numerous times, where explained again ensuring I was as comfortable as you can be prior to surgery. Post-surgery I was visited to check I was well and more importantly explanation of how surgery had gone. Whilst in recovery I was visited morning by Miss Bojanic and in the evening prior to being checked out. I had two opportunities to see Miss Bojanic after leaving hospital to check how my recovery was going. Again, dealt with very well, showing genuine pleasure in my recovery. I also must add I was due to fly on numerous occasions after my operation both long haul. I was very keen to do these trips, however knew that I was probably not quite in a condition to do so. After discussions with Miss Bojanic she recommended and persuaded me that it was not the correct thing to do, again the decision was mine but I was in little doubt of the right course of action. I am pleased to say I am feeling very well, my back condition has been great since the operation and I am well on my way to getting back to a full and active life again.
Many many thanks for removing my meningioma and for all the aftercare I have received. Miss Bojanic truly saved me and I will never forget this.
I am extremely grateful to you personally for persevering with me and giving me this opportunity to take control of my life back from CRPS. Less pain and now less meds! Thank you ever so much!
Thank you to Miss Bojanic for the wonders you wrought on my back. I can move freely and am so pleased that I am back to normal. I had forgeotton what normal was!
Thank you for Stana for being so generous with her time and having my concerns answered. Stana was very honest and open, communicated very clearly when answering my questions. Cannot thank Stana enough for her time and care.
Thank you so very much for all that Stan has done - her care, kindness adn professionalism are second to none.
I cannot thank Stana and her team enough for saving my life and for the last shunt operation that has made all the difference to my partner. He can recognise me, knows what we say and can move his arms and left leg well!
I will always be grateful for Miss Bojanic as her skill, dedication and generous nature gave me my life back.
I wanted to leave a review to express my gratitude for the wonderful care Miss Bojanic gave me recently. Her quiet calmness and obvious competence were what I needed before going 'under the knife' but the amazing results of being able to feel and move my arms again after the op was just wonderful. My symptoms had really started to interfere with my ability to do my job as a GP and I am so grateful for how much Stana has given back to me.
I wanted to thank Miss Bojanic for her kindness and the wonderful care she gave me during my recent surgery. I am doing really well and the IPG is making a huge difference to my life. Thank you very much!
Stana has been real star from the start. Very good at explaining the problem on the x rays, the potential problems of surgery, the procedures and the hoped for outcome. The operation went as planned and Stana seemed really pleased. I am astonished at the speed of recovery. My care in the West Wing was brilliant; firm, kind and friendly. Stana looked in every day to check that all was going well Thank you everybody
The operation for spinal stenosis went extremely well and I was without pain after two or three days. I have since been able to be very active but there is still some residual numbness in my toes.A colleague who has some experience in the field was most impressed with the information provided by Miss Bojanic, the general standard of care as well as the operation itself.
I found Miss Bojanic very calm and reassuring throughout my treatment, and I always felt like I was being listened to. She explained everything to me very clearly, and made sure I understood all the implications of the surgery. She always took the time to email me back promptly if I had any questions between appointments. I suppose most importantly she carried out the decompression surgery successfully, which has made a massive difference to my quality of life. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone in a similar position.
Miss Bojanic has been really caring and supportive during the past two years from when in 2016 we were trying to establish what was wrong with me ( determined lipoma on spinal cord ) to management and review over 2017 and 2018. Due to my having a fall and lengthy recovery from a broken leg I was unable to travel to see her for a review. However, I did get an updated MRI scan here in the scottish borders in April and the results were shared with her. We had a telephone conference and agreed an ongoing monitoring of my situation. I was referred to my nhs neuroconsultant here in scotland but unfortunately have not yet managed to have a consulation as yet. We had agreed a review again at the end of this year... I am only sorry that I am still unable to travel any distance and be able to continue to be seen by miss Bojanic. However it may be that I can get another mri scan locally but continue review discussions with her remotely. My GP is chasing for my appointment within nhs scotland. As this is permanent problem I am having to learn how to manage my disability and avoiding falling and to keep the symptoms under review.
Incredible!!! She was so informative and professional and I am literally pain free having been sore for weeks. She operated on my neck and I have a tiny scar and couldn’t be happier. You was amazing!!!
Miss Bojanic has been instrumental in pulling together the various pieces of my rather complicated case - I am grateful for her expertise and thoughtfulness.
