Miss Olivia Whiteside was appointed as an ENT Consultant since July 2011 and although she sees patients with all types of ear, nose and throat disorders, she has a particular interest in childhood and adult hearing loss and ear problems, cholesteatoma, reconstruction of the bones of hearing, dizziness, tinnitus, and Eustachian tube disorders.

Miss Whiteside qualified from St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital Medical School in 1998, during which time she also gained first class honours in an intercalated degree in Neuroscience at University College, London in 1996. She undertook specialist ENT surgical training in the Oxford region. During this time she was awarded the Royal Society of Medicine Gold Medal for achieving the top mark in the Country in her ENT Fellowship examinations. She spend the final year of her training as the inaugural Oxford Advanced Otology Fellow, during which she gained further knowledge and experience regarding the treatment and surgery for diseases of the ear.

I was extremely satisfied with the experience of the consultation, Miss Whiteside listened attentively to me, and answered all my questions. She explained all the information relating to my condition and the way forward with my treatment I left the consultatiom reassured that I was fully informed and satisfied.

I had an issue with a hole in my eardrum and Olivia was very efficient, thorough and extremely personable & knowledgable. Olivia explained in clear language the position and the outcome and I felt could trust her 100% to have my best interests at heart Olivia came highly recommended so I’m glad I waited to see her as i feel i had a much better prognosis and outcome than i could have had. Ashleigh her secretary is also very efficient and helpful

I was feeling desperate when I arrived to see ENT Specialist Olivia Whiteside, as I had been unable to hear in my left ear for 10 days, my ear felt full and pressure was building up. I was unable to clear the problem myself having tried various recommended drops and washes. After examining my ear, she was able to tell me immediately what the problem was and that a build up of wax was pushed against my ear drum then she explained how she was going to deal with it. By the time I left her I could hear again and I felt such amazing relief . I clearly needed Olivia's ENT Specialist skills and I would highly recommend her.
