Miss Fiona MacNeill is a specialist consultant breast surgeon who graduated from St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1983. She gained an MD degree for her research into breast cancer therapies in 1994 and, in 1996, became a consultant surgeon at Colchester. She gained several years of experience before establishing and leading a highly successful breast unit and joining The Royal Marsden in 2006.
Miss Macneill has a special focus on oncoplastic and breast reconstruction surgery. She also works with other plastic surgeons to provide cutting-edge cosmetic surgery and reconstruction procedures to preserve the breast and retain breast shape and body image following breast cancer surgery.
She enjoys passing on her expertise and experience and frequently assists in the training of the next generation of breast surgeons. She is the current President of the Association of Breast Surgery (2015–17) and gives talks on breast cancer and oncoplastic surgery all over the world.
