Miss Charlotte Foley is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at East and North Hertfordshire Trust. Her private practice is based at Pinehill and Spire Harpenden Hospitals. Miss Foley qualified at the University of Oxford and trained in Urology at teaching hospitals in North London. She undertook subspecialist training in reconstructive and female urology at University College London Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in Australia. Miss Foley obtained her MD(Res) from University College London for lab research funded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Cancer Research UK. She took up a consultant position in 2012 at the East and North Herts Trust.

Miss Foley sees patients with general urological issues. She performs a range of urological procedures and is particularly interested in female and reconstructive urology, benign prostate hyperplasia, incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI), and bladder pain. She has extensive experience in transperineal prostate biopsies (being one of the first UK Urologists to perform these under local anaesthetic), fiducial marker placement and rectal spacer (SpaceOAR) insertion under local or general anaesthetic.

Miss Foley is actively involved in research and education. She is a co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and she lectures on the UCL MSc in Urology and London Urology Registrar teaching programmes. She also is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and provides training in Urology for GPs.
