Comprehensive assessment, short lead in time to surgery, excellent explanation of potential risks & benefits. The surgery itself, bilateral cataracts, was much less uncomfortable than I anticipated and I’m delighted with the results. My distance vision is excellent & near vision good enough for phone & laptop use.

Mr Bhogal and myself had a little banter about dentistry (me being a retired dentist )I felt very much at ease- knew my eye was in safe hands. The procedure itself was quick and carried out very efficaciously. I would like him to operate on my other eye at the next appointment if possible. It was an entire teamwork- the staff were very good and not forgetting the very pleasant anaesthetist who did not make me flinch !

Mr Bhogal replaced cataracts in both my eyes - rescuing a particularly difficult situation in one eye that had been done wrongly elsewhere. He corrected the vision in both eyes completely, and cured my lifelong astigmatisms. The whole experience was made to seem easy and informal, and I had no pain or discomfort whatever. So far as I can judge it was all perfect.

I have had a long-standing problem with one of my eyes which resulted in prolonged pain and inflammation from a decompensated cornea. It was a very delibitating condition with frequent flare-ups and infections. I was constantly using eye-drops of various sorts. Mr Ghogal recommended a Gunderson Flap operation which he conducted one year ago. Since then, all these problems have gone away and I have not had to use drops to relieve irritation at all. The operation was arranged and conducted effiiciently.

Mr Bhogal has been a fantastic consultant and has undoubtedly made my experience a far more positive and comfortable one. From the first consultation, I was never left in any doubt as to what my options were, what the next steps in my treatment were and have never once felt rushed or that I couldn’t ask my questions. I had two surgeries for my cornea transplant and his calm approach made me feel very comfortable and at ease at what could have been a stressful time. I highly recommend him!
