I had a BBL and Moxi laser treatment at The Clinic Holland Park and it was a great experience. Dr Doyle is very empathetic and caring. She explained everything before the treatment and answered all my questions. I had never done any beauty treatment before and the way Dr Doyle has guided me through the process from the initial consultation until the post-treatment care was very calming and reassuring. I would definitely recommend!

I had a thread lift (a non surgical facelift) to my mid face, which treated my nose-to-mouth creases and jowls on my jawline. I've fancied a facelift since my early 40s (I read somewhere that you shouldn't leave it too late), but have lacked the finance and the downtime to be able to go ahead. Dr Doyle explained that with a thread lift, the downtime is approximately 48 hours; rather than the few months of recovery that goes with the surgery option. The price was appealing too, so after my initial consultation I was keen to book and get the work done. I have never treated myself like this before and I really like it. The thread lift took about an hour. In theatre, my mid and lower face was injected with local anaesthetic along the cheekbones, my jawline, and at the corners of my mouth. I was told that at any time in the procedure, should I feel uncomfortable, that I speak up immediately, and more numbing injections would be given. I felt very little at the beginning. The threads were inserted through a cannula that was placed at the top of my cheekbones, one side done at a time. The sensation of the threads travelling across my cheeks (down towards my droopy jaw and mouth) was a novelty, but I quickly got used to it. It didn't hurt. But then as one thread was being put in place along my cheek I did start to feel an ache; so I said straight away and Dr Doyle gave me further injections before she proceeded further with the procedure. I was shown the difference the threads made to my face in a mirror, after my first side was done, and it was incredible. It also made me much happier to proceed with the second side of the face because I had seen the effects already. The lift was immediate. Afterwards, as I recovered in a little suite with a comfy chair, a cup of tea and some memorably delicious biscuits, I was in a complete daze. A good daze: I was looking at my mouth, my cheekbones, my jawline, and I was so chuffed that I was giggling with pleasure. Aftercare was important: I had to leave my face alone for the rest of the day, and only splash my face with water, even though my face was going to be tender and inflamed. Only paracetamol was permitted for the soreness, but the inflammation had gone within 48 hours. It has now been a couple of months since the procedure, and not one of my friends or colleagues has asked whether I have 'had work done'. This is because it looks so natural. I absolutely love what the threads have done to my face and I would definitely go for another one in a few years, when I will inevitably need another.

I had the platelet-rich plasma treatment on my face and hairline to rejuvenate my skin and activate my hairline. I was attracted to this procedure because I have never had any foreign bodies injected into my face and this treatment uses my own blood plasma, so there's no chance of a nasty reaction. I had a local anaesthetic cream applied all over my face before treatment started, and this took about half an hour to make my face numb. Then a blood sample was taken from my hand and put in a centrifuge machine to extract my blood plasma. Fascinating, I felt like I was in the future. Then a cannula was inserted into my face and the plasma was injected in: under my eyes, at my hairline, and at my naso-labial folds. My entire face was then microneedled, and the rest of the plasma applied all over my face, sinking in through all the micro wounds just made. The anaesthetic cream meant that most of this was not at all uncomfortable; but I confess that my forehead, nostril and upper-lip were sensitive. My face was red and tight for the rest of the day, and I diligently followed the aftercare advice: to use all the hydrogel on the day of the treatment; and then use up all the rescue balm on the next day. I was told to sleep on clean linen and also advised to sleep propped up, which I didn't really do. The next day my undereye area had really swollen up, but this calmed right down during the day and didn't happen again. It's now been just over a month since the treatment and my skin feels bouncy and is glowing -- one of my girlfriends even commented that she had never seen me looking so gorgeous! And where my hairline was only sprouting grey hairs -- I cannot believe it but I have dark hairs coming back! And this is just after 1 of the 3 treatments I've booked up for. I am absolutely delighted with the results and because it was my own blood plasma I feel smug and assured that I am doing things a super-natural way. If this is the amazing result after just one treatment, I cannot wait to see how I will look after my course of 3. Highly recommend!
