Professor James Frame is a respected Consultant Plastic Surgeon with considerable expertise in breast surgery, rhinoplasties and treating complex burn scarring.

Prof. Frame has many years of experience working within the NHS. He received his medical degree at St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1977 where he then embarked on his career as a plastic surgeon. He then trained at Barts, Southampton, Chelmsford, UCH, St Andrew's Billericay, Mount Vernon in Middlesex and Northwick Park.

Prof. Frame has had the opportunity to build his expertise and create strong international links for research due to completing travelling Fellowships to Singapore, Australia, the Middle East and the United States. In particular, the Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship afforded him invaluable exposure to USA Burns Unit facilities and many world leading plastic surgery units in the USA.

He left the NHS in 2001 to set up his successful private practise and establish the Directorate of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery which supports newly qualified plastic surgeons in their training and experienced plastic surgeons needing additional aesthetic surgery skills. He is also the co-founder of the Post-Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Surgery at Barts and the London Hospital and also develops academic training and research interests at the School of Medicine of Anglia Ruskin University.

Professor Frame is a published author of many peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and articles on burn care, trauma and reconstruction and in aesthetic surgery.
