Prior to joining the Sheffield team, he worked as a consultant interventional cardiologist at Freeman Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary, and Pinderfields Hospital, where he successfully established a coronary intervention service and served as its lead clinician for governance and procurement until his move to Sheffield in 2020.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Conway is committed to mentoring the next generation of cardiologists and has directed several regional and national courses, including for the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS). He also holds the position of Training Programme Director for Cardiology in South Yorkshire.

He is equipped to deal with a broad range of cardiological presentations, but has particular expertise in the management of chest pain and is a national authority in this field (having trained in esteemed centres both in UK and Canada).
