Her support during my pregnancy was enormously helpful. She provided me with clarity of her treatment. She is very friendly and explained me who are not familiar with medical term. Dr Yi Shan Low was my consultant in Portland Hospital. We first met when I was six weeks pregnant and she has just two weeks ago delivered my healthy baby girl. Looking back at my pregnancy and delivery journey, I can’t express enough how much of a relief it was for me to be looked after by Dr Low. After quite a no of unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant, I was understandably anxious not to lose the baby. Dr Low was there to closely monitor the progress of my pregnancy, adjusting necessary measures to ensure baby’s development and my wellbeing and was always accessible to answer any questions I had. She did more than any other consultant would do for a patient for which I’m very grateful. Finally when the day of my C-section delivery had arrived, I was very calm because I knew I was in good hands. I must mention that I have an impressively neat C-section scar. I can’t recommend enough Dr Low. You and your baby will be in safe hands.

Dr. Shan Low was excellent to my partner and I throughout our entire pregnancy and delivery. My partner and I are first time parents and originally from different countries. Navigating the antenatal process in the UK was new territory for us and Dr. Shan Low provided us with ample time, care, understanding and explanation to ensure our experience was as seamless as possible. We especially appreciated Dr. Shan Low's recommendation of literature and studies that we could reference to make informed decisions about our birthing plan. Further, Dr. Shan Low went above and beyond what is typically expected of an obstetrician in terms of communication, offering her availability via Whatsapp messaging, during evening hours for phone calls and even assisting with insurance queries. My partner and I ended up booking a caesarean section due to the factors of my pregnancy. Dr. Shan Low did an excellent job at putting our minds at ease during the lead up to the day of the procedure and, on the day, executed the procedure with extreme skill and precision - many of the midwives providing me with after care even remarked on how neat her work was! Finally, Dr. Shan Low checked in on us both days we were in the hospital during recovery and was prompt in scheduling a follow up appointment. In closing, my partner and I can truly never capture in words how thankful we are to Dr. Shan Low for providing us with our greatest gift - our daughter.
