Her explanations are clear and easily understandable, even when discussing complex medical terms, instilling us with confidence in her expertise. Dr. Low was our consultant for the birth of our second child at the Portland Hospital. Throughout the pregnancy and birth she was supportive, thorough, professional and caring in all respects. She is very reachable and responsive, very clearly explains relevant information and patiently answers any and all questions. When we developed a complication late in the pregnancy, she was reassuring and thoughtfully guided us through diagnosis, treatment and how it could impact our birth plans. She followed our birth plans and respected our preferences to the fullest extent possible and her presence at the birth was calming and confident. She very clearly cares about her patients and their outcomes and provides an exceptionally high standard of care. We would give her the highest possible recommendation.

My experience with Doctor Shan Yi Low has been extremely positive from the very beginning. From my initial enquiry Miss Low was caring and attentive while ensuring any questions I had along the way were answered in a way we could clearly understand. I also appreciate that during each appointment Miss Low ensured that my husband was always given chance to speak up with any of his own questions or concerns. I was extremely nervous for my elective c-section before contacting Miss Low due to a difficult start to the pregnancy and failures experience at my local health care provider. Any anxiety I had was immediately removed the second I met Miss Low and spent time with her, I have never experienced such reassurance. This level of care continued right through pregnancy and beyond birth. While my priority was always the safest delivery of my baby, something Miss Low went above and beyond to ensure, I feel it is also important to mention the level of care Miss Low has spent on my incision during the procedure and recovery - every person who has seen my incision recovery site has commented on how neat and as minimal as possible the wound is. In summary Miss Low is an outstanding Doctor and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
