Dr Teresa Castiello is a Consultant Cardiologist with two decades of medical experience in the NHS, Italy and developing countries, with a specific interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathy and cardiac MRI. She centres her practice around prevention and early diagnosis, by providing her patients with up to date clinical knowledge in a friendly and professional manner. She is the founder of MIAL healthcare, the first Italian-speaking hospital-based service in London. MIAL's model of care offers a patient-centred holistic approach for personalised medicine throughout the entire patient journey. MIAL's long term plan is reinvesting part of the income in humanitarian projects focused on Healthcare and Education.
Dr Castiello qualified in Italy, at La Sapienza University and was appointed as a Consultant in Cardiology at San Raffaele, Rome, upon completion of her Cardiology training. Dr Castiello later came to London, where she has since become lead for the Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Service at Croydon University Hospital and a Cardiac MRI consultant at Kings College London (Guy's and St Thomas Hospital).
Outside of her busy clinical work, Dr Castiello is a member of a nubmer of national and international societies, including the European Society of Cardiology. She is a Fellow of the European Heart Failure Association (HFA) and Committee Member of the HFA Digital Health and Patient Care Committee.
She is the new Cardiology President elect of the Royal Society of Medicine. She has authored and co-authored several peer reviewed papers and online educational resources.

It has been a great experience getting my diagnosis and treatments from Dr Teresa. She is extremely empathetic and very proficient in her role. She is also very patient, caring and result-oriented in her approach. I would highly recommend her.

I would highly recommend Dr Castiello. I saw her for the first time today and was very impressed by her wonderful, kind and approachable manner. She is very good at listening and very thorough. I feel extremely thankful for her care and attention, and encouraged that there is so much excellent help available from the team at MIAL Healthcare. I am so relieved to have some hope back that there is a way forward.

after my appointment with Teresa Castiello I felt completely at ease, Teresa explained everything throughly & was answer any questions I had. There was no rush Teresa was more than happy to go over everything in detail, I couldn’t speak any more highly of her, 10/10 absolute joy.

Dr Teresa Castiello was absolutely excellent. Her professional, calm and friendly approach made me feel very comfortable and reassured. She diagnosed my problem and organised a therapy in a very skillful manner.
