Dr Shabbir Moochhala, Consultant Nephrologist, currently works within the Royal Free Hospital and North Middlesex Hospital. He also sees patients privately in several clinics across London and Middlesex. He is an expert in treating all matters of kidney disease and pathology including acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, transplantation, and dialysis. He also works as a General Physician (GP), with a large breadth of knowledge on common and rare problems. He aims to address all concerns of his patients and isn’t restricted to kidney-based concerns.
Dr Moochhala began his medical education in Edinburgh and Newcastle, where he graduated with his medical degrees. He gained invaluable experience from his general and speciality training, making him an expert in rare renal diseases with a keen interest in kidney stone diseases. He has an excellent bedside manner, with a friendly approach. He aims to be available and offer appointments at short notice.
Dr Moochhala is also an active member of the research community, he is currently the Principal Investigator for 4 international clinical trials. He also actively engages with medical education, teaching junior doctors and medical students as well as lecturing on his expertise.
