Dr Sarah Elkin is an experienced Consultant in General and Respiratory Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London as well as a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
In her NHS Trust, she is the COPD Lead and Clinical Director of Integrated Care .She has more lately set up the Long COVID clinic within Imperial and was a founder clinican of the successful ENO-Breathe program which runs across the UK. She holds the position of CRO-Respiratory for the North West London Integrated care system and In her position at Clinical Director, she works closely with GPs and patient groups to improve healthcare for those with respiratory conditions. She works to improve the respiratory health of all londoners in her positon of Co-CD for the London Respiratory network.
Dr Elkin holds professional memberships with the British Thoracic Society, the Primary Care Respiratory Society and the European Respiratory Society.

Dr Elkin is one of the best consultants I have ever come across. She takes time to really understand your situation and the symptoms you're experiencing, and then gives actionable advice and proposes next steps. Her style is friendly, caring and she really tries to make you feel comfortable. So far my experience with her has been fantastic. I got the right tests that led to a very quick diagnosis of my symptoms and action plan going forward.

Dr Elkin was very professional at our meeting. She said that I had asthma and explained everything very clearly, particularly what I needed to do going forward. I was very impressed.

I couldn't recommend a specialist more highly. Sarah is personable and professional. She instantly put me at ease, even though the news she was imparting wasn't great. She patiently answered all my questions and did everything she said she was going to within 24 hours. Not only that, she is extremely likeable. What more could you want from a physician! If only they were all like her!

She is one of the few specialists who actually listens to her patients and then acts accordingly. She is kind, empathetic, interested and very knowledgeable She keeps up to date with the latest medicines I am grateful that I was recommended to her to treat me and she helped me where others before her did not

Diagnostic Pathway – CardiacIf you are looking for a doctor who not only is clinically excellent but is a leader in her field, then I would recommend my colleague Dr Sarah Elkin. She works both in the hospital but also in the community so she understands what things are like for patients on every level. She is down to earth and takes time to explain things to her patients, who are always happy to be under her care. Most importantly she is kind. I would highly recommend her.
