Dr Ross Hunter is a consultant and professor of cardiology who works for the NHS at St Bartholomew's Hospital and privately at The London Bridge Hospital. He is the Director of Arrhythmia Research, with a special interest in AF ablation, and is the AF lead at The Barts Heart Centre. He also devotes time to running clinical trials, developing new technologies, and evaluating new equipment at the cutting edge of the field.
His primary interests include heart rhythm management, electrophysiology, and device use, as well as catheter ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation (AF) and other cardiac arrhythmias such as SVT, atrial tachycardias, ventricular tachycardias (VT), and ectopics. He performs over 200 complex ablation procedures each year using cutting-edge techniques. Additionally, he implants, removes, and revises pacing devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs, and leadless pacemakers.
He typically sees patients with symptoms such as palpitations, syncope, fainting, dizziness, breathlessness, and chest pain.
