Dr Richard Levy is a renowned consultant cardiologist specialising in interventional cardiology. He is based in Manchester and is board-certified in both general medicine and cardiology.
He gained his medical degree from St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London in 1978 before going on to train in cardiology at a number of hospitals including University College London Hospital, The National Heart Hospital, and St Bartholomew's Hospital. He became a consultant at Wythenshawe Hospital in 1993 and served as Director of Cardiology between 2001 and 2006. He was also part of the Greater Machester and Cheshire Cardiac Network and is the current National Clinical Lead for the Heart Improvement Programme, where he is responsible for the redesign of the management of cardiac services including inter-hospital transfers, percutaneous intervention, and angina management.
Dr Levy has an interest in research and has previously been a finalist for the British Cardiac Society's Young Investor Prize.
In his free time, Dr Levy enjoys spending time with his family and playing tennis and bridge.
