Explanation

Had the benefit of being under Dr P. Bharmra-Ariza's care several years ago for AF, so we were quite happy to seek his advice regarding a blood test result(NT proBNP 458 ng/L) that indicated I could have an underlying heart condition. The comment added by my Surgery recommended that I should be referred to a Cardiologist within 6 weeks. Preceding the blood test I had also experienced a small brief fluid leak from my left ankle. We decided to use our private medical insurance option to ascertain how seriously to take the elevated reading and fluid leak. I saw Dr Bhamra-Ariza within a few days, underwent ECG/ECO tests plus physical checks. His assessment was that at 87yrs the raised level of the "heart stat" was not of serious concern as I am very active and in reasonable health. The fluid leak should be monitored and whenever possible elevate the feet when at rest.

Explanation

I recently had the chance to have a consultation with Dr. Paul Bhamra-Ariza, a renowned cardiologist, and I'm glad to say that the experience was enlightening and informative. His generosity with his time and his willingness to delve deep into my cardiology issues were beyond my expectations. Dr. Bhamra-Ariza displayed a profound understanding of his field and communicated complex medical jargon in a manner that was easily understood, making sure I was informed about every aspect of my condition. He took the time to thoroughly explain the rationale and implications behind the use of statins, including potential risks and benefits. I sought a second opinion from him about taking statins, a decision that turned out to be immensely valuable. His candidness and comprehensive explanations not only reassured me but also made me understand the gravity of the potential dangers and how they may affect my health if not taken. I appreciated the transparency of his communication style; he created a comfortable environment for me to ask questions and express concerns. In addition to his deep knowledge, his empathy and patient-centric approach are truly commendable. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul Bhamra-Ariza to anyone seeking expert opinion and care in cardiology. His commitment to patient education and his dedication to ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the medical situation are truly an asset to the field. His approach puts patients at ease and allows them to make informed decisions regarding their health, which is invaluable in today's healthcare landscape.
