    About

Dr Niket Patel, Consultant Cardiologist, currently works within the Royal Free Hospital in London and sees patients in a private setting in hospitals across London. He is highly experienced in the management and treatment of a wide range of cardiac disorders, as well as being able to perform complex interventional procedures (angioplasty and stenting). The conditions he regularly treats are chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, fainting or syncope, hypertension, patients at high risk of heart disease, heart valve disease, and murmurs.

Dr Patel began his medical education at St George's Hospital Medical School, where he studied for his medical undergraduate degree. After graduation, he undertook specialist cardiology and coronary intervention training at Harefield Hospital and Oxford University Hospital. During his training period, he also undertook a research degree focusing on the physiology of coronary arteries in patients suffering from heart attacks, resulting in him being awarded an MD for his efforts.

Dr Patel deeply enjoys working with his patients to find the best possible solution for their ailment.

I saw Dr Patel via video consultation but the experience was no different to a meeting in person. Calming, compassionate and friendly, Dr Patel explained my issue in simple terms which gave a great clarity about the underlying issue, its probable cause and the likely course of treatment. At all times professional and engaging, I now feel much more confident about my treatment.
