Dr Neel Bhuva is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with an interest in in the specialist non-surgical management of upper and lower gastrointestinal malignancies and general/acute oncology. He is also able to advice on the treatment for cancers of an unknown primary. He has extensive experience delivering radiotherapy, including stereotactic radiotherapy with ‘Cyberknife’, chemotherapy, biological targeted therapy and immunotherapy treatment.
After graduating from Imperial College London, Dr Bhuva undertook his junior medical training at the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals. Following this, he completed 7 years of specialist training at Mount Vernon, North Middlesex, Imperial College and University College London Hospitals. During this time he completed a Fellowship in radiotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital and a postgraduate Master’s degree in Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research.
Dr Bhuva is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He teaches oncology students in London and is an assessor for the Royal College of Radiologists Final Fellowship examination. He is highly active in clinical research and has been published extensively in peer reviewed journals. He is also regularly invited to present his work an both national and international conferences.
He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC – Gastrointestinal cancer and Radiation Oncology group).
