Dr Natasha Patel is a Consultant in General Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where she has been based since 2015. She also sees patients at specialist functional medicine practice, Dr Indra. Dr Patel is also the clinical lead for consultancy and international offering medical expertise to international projects. She was previously the Clinical Director for Diabetes for the HIN (the South London AHSN)

Dr Patel specialises in the management of all aspects of diabetes care including but not limited to gastroparesis, intestinal enteropathy, diabetes foot, renal disease.

Dr Patel has a private company called 'Go Doc' that advises health and wellness start-up businesses and helps them to enter the NHS market. She has also created a diabetes lifestyle course which will be available soon on the Go Doc platform. Dr Patel takes a holistic approach to medicine and includes nutritional and lifestyle treatments in her practice.

Dr Patel gained her medical degree in 1999 from Charing Cross Medical School in London following her initial degree in neuroscience. She later completed an MBA at Imperial College Business School. Dr Patel's previous posts include a consultant in diabetes and acute medicine at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she specialised in diabetic podiatry, type 1 diabetes, inpatient diabetes, and community diabetes.

Dr Patel has also completed her training with IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine) and is collaborating with the Dr Indra functional medicine team (https://drindra.co.uk/) and the Mosaic Medical (https://www.mosaic-medical.com/) be able to provide a more holistic approach to the management of diabetes.
