Although I eventually received a very unfortunate diagnosis, I cannot praise Dr. (now Prof.) Lunn and his team - both clinical and administrative - highly enough. A special message of appreciation too, to the staff of Maida Vale ward of UCLH whose care, with just the right amount of friendliness, was second to none. I was originally booked in for 3 days, but that was extended to 5 days, when the early tests pointed to something nasty. Further tests were made just to ensure the correct diagnosis. 'Thoroughness' seems to be the watchword of Prof. Lunn, for which I am so grateful. I have now been referred to my local hospital for ongoing care, but Prof. Lunn has made an appointment for me to see him again for a six month follow-up.
