I have been doing talking therapy for a year and realized that the results were not as effective as I imagine, so I booked an initial session with Dr Sawa. It was a great clarification on how I have been feeling for a while and I got diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depression. I started on the medication and it has been great so far. Dr Sawa has made put a lot of emphasis on the fact that medication is the ultimate answer and he gave me good lifestyle tips such as diet and supplements, which I think is also very important for recovery. Overall, it has been a great experience even though I was worried at the beginning.

At first, I was apprehensive of pursuing my medical matter—it was originally diagnosed years ago and I had held off after all these years, so why start now? It was strange and unfamiliar waters. However, that apprehension disappeared immediately after first consulting with Dr. Sawa. He gave me the treatment I required, and helped guide me throughout the process. Without him, I most likely wouldn’t be able to be in the mental place I am now. I write this review not only to highly recommend Dr. Sawa, but to assist in convincing others to step into similarly unfamiliar waters and take the leap towards getting the help they deserve. The process may be a bit daunting at first, but I can think of no better doctor to walk you each step of the way.

Dr. Sawa is an excellent psychiatrist. He was very professional, compassionate and helpful. He gave me clear guidance and a treatment plan which we both agreed upon. Despite what I feel must be his very busy schedule, it was great that he was able to respond to my emails seeking his advice in between appointments. He was very beneficial to my well being. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with mental health.

Dr Sawa has been an excellent listener. We were able to work out a strategy that really helped with immeasurable benefits. I have recommend him to many people as you don’t feel like you are seeing a psychiatrist in the way many people imagine. He has a gentle but very effective approach for getting to the root of the problem.

Dr Sawa was incredibly helpful in providing me with a referral and review session into my potential ADD. After 4 months of prescribed medication with review appointments every 4 weeks, I have now reached a target dose where I feel I am much happier in my ability to concentrate and complete daily tasks which I previously struggled with. This wouldn’t have been achieved without Dr Sawa and his recommendations.
