About
Dr Mahesh Patel graduated in 1975, then began postgraduate training at the prestigious Eastman’s Dental Institute in London until 1979. Since then, he has predominantly worked in General Practice and dedicated most of his working life to teaching dental trainees. He is now a Specialist in Oral Surgery, having performed numerous surgical procedures, including over seven thousand implants and over four hundred sinus grafting procedures.
Using over forty years of dental experience, he routinely carries out full mouth rehabilitations using an array of dental tools and procedures, such as veneers and implants. He has a wide range of special interests, including procedures related to cosmetic dentistry, dental restorations, dental implants, difficult tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal, and laser surgery for failing implants.
Dr Patel’s passion for implantology is clear – he has been appointed as an Examiner and local Course Tutor for the Implant Diploma at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, as well as a Fellow and Diplomate of International Congress of Oral Implantology. In addition to this, he is a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
