Dr Kshama Wechalekar is a Consultant Nuclear Physician with over two decades of experience in lung and heart imaging. She sees private patients at the Royal Brompton Hospital.
Kshama gained her primary medical qualification at Nagpur University, India, after which she undertook her general nuclear medicine training at the Radiation Medicine Centre at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. Upon receiving her qualification in 1999, she came to the UK and further trained at the Royal Brompton and Royal Marsden hospitals, gaining specialist knowledge in nuclear cardiology and oncology. Upon completion of her further training, she was appointed Consultant in 2008, and has since become Lead Nuclear Medicine Consultant.
