“Dr Kissell is extremely good at what she does. She goes above and beyond, and is constantly looking for new techniques that could help me and sending me resources. Her ability to adapt her approach is very impressive and works really well especially with trauma where things are never black and white. Her persistence in trying to find what worked for me, was crucial for me, as with other psychologists I struggled due to how rigid their therapy was structured. She has a great ability to delve deeper into what I tell her and help me see the bigger picture. She is very likeable and a great listener. Would highly recommend. “

My wife passed away at the age of 53 after being diagnosed with a terrible, rare form of cancer. I went to Kathryn originally for her to help me with my bereaevement process. She did this tremendously. She also throughout our sessions helped me go deeper and identify numerous other issues and opportunities on which I am excited to continue making progress.

I highly recommend Dr Kathryn Kissell. I found her to be warm and easy to talk to. She helped me to see myself clearer and the way I respond/react to situations. This has been extremely useful and I have put some of the suggestions into practice with positive results. I find it easier to retain a sense of calm even amongst chaos.

Kathryn is fantastic - she is a great listener and uses her experience to ask insightful questions to help her patients explore and find answers to restore their mental health. Through my treatment Kathryn helped me understand the basics of Bowen theory and how this played out in my work, home and family life. It has been invaluable for me to learn how the dynamics at play have influenced the many interactions I have in these aspects of my life. Kathryn offers a good mix of traditional counselling and practical techniques which have helped me understand how to apply them in the real world. Thank you Kathryn for all your help - much appreciated.

Dr Kissell is very perceptive and able to get to the root cause of the issue. It is usually what makes you most uncomfortable and squeamish. She does it in such an elegant and honest way without making you feel uncomfortable.

I have really valued my sessions with Kathryn over the last few months. Kathryn has always made me feel comfortable and understood during a time when I really needed it. She helped me to understand and recognise the different relationships and patterns in my life which were adding to the way I was feeling, which has since helped me to react differently when faced with situations I find upsetting and uncomfortable. I am very grateful for all the empathy and understanding Kathryn has offered me during this time.

When I originally saw Kathryn, I felt I was in a dark place and didn’t know where to turn. It took a while but over the weeks she taught me to give myself a break and not to be so harsh on myself.

Kathryn immediately put me at ease and it was obvious that she had both a depth of understanding and empathy that made it easy to be open with her. She is very insightful and was quick to pinpoint the underlying issues that were the major factor in causing the problems I was experiencing. Her expertise in working with clergy was especially helpful in the unique role we have. I will always be grateful to Kathryn for being there and helping me to see the changes I need to make.
