About
Ms Kalpana Devalia is a Consultant Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeon at Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust. She specialises in minimally invasive Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery.
Her private practise is based at Cleveland Clinic, London.
Ms Kalpana trained in advanced laparoscopic(key hole) surgery. She expertise include weight loss surgery procedures such as gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and complex revisional surgery. She also specialises in cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery. She has performed more than 1000 laparoscopic operations and she is proud to be one of the few female bariatric surgeons in the UK.
She has had extensive training in UK, India & Belgium. After qualifying she undertook higher surgical training in the Southwest Thames Deanery.
Ms Kalpana also enjoys teaching and is on the faculty for the International Bariatric Symposium at Homerton and the Bariatric Surgery Training Course.
