Dr Jo Wood is a Chartered Consultant Counselling Psychologist who has over 16 years' experience within the NHS and in private practice. As well as practicing privately, Dr Wood works at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC).

After initially studying Counselling Psychology at City, University of London, Dr Wood went onto further obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford and a MSc in Sports and Exercise Psychology from Staffordshire University. Her previous roles include Senior Psychologist at Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust and Deputy Clinical Lead for the NHS Wellbeing Service in Hertfordshire.

Dr Wood has gained experience working with children, adults, families and couples within primary and secondary mental health care settings and has knowledge of a variety of mental health problems. She offers both short and long-term therapy, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy and Couples' Therapy for Depression.
