Dr Jeremy Isaacs graduated from Cambridge University with first class honours and from University College London with three MBBS distinctions. After general medical training he was awarded an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship to undertake a PhD on Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (a rare form of dementia) at UCL. He then undertook higher training in Neurology and was appointed as Consultant Neurologist to Kingston and St George's Hospitals in 2010.
Dr Isaacs leads the neurology service at Kingston Hospital and has extensive experience in a range of neurological problems including headache, balance and co-ordination problems and limb symptoms such as numbness, tingling or weakness. He has a specialist interest in memory and other cognitive disorders and is part of the multi-disciplinary cognitive neurology service at St George's Hospital. He was a member of the committee that wrote the 2018 NICE dementia guideline. He is Clinical Director of the NHS London Dementia Clinical Network which oversees quality improvement in dementia care across the capital. He is honorary senior lecturer at St George's University of London where he is involved in medical education and research into Alzheimer's, vascular and other dementias, delirium and functional cognitive disorder.
