About

Dr Jason Dunn, Consultant Gastroenterologist, is currently based in London working within the Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals and privately within the London Bridge Hospital. He is highly specialised in therapeutic endoscopy, parenteral nutrition in oncology/palliative care, as well as the treatment of early Upper GI cancer, and Barrett's oesophagus. He has excellent experience in performing Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) techniques, PEG tube insertion as well as HALO RFA for Barrett's oesophagus.

During his studies, he was awarded the CRUK clinical fellowship at UCL examining the use of optical diagnostics and minimally invasive therapies for the treatment of Barrett's oesophagus. He was later awarded a PhD for this work and is still invited to present his findings at conferences around the world. His continued work in the field of Barrett's oesophagus, and biomarkers to predict cancer progression has won him several awards. His research has resulted in numerous publications in high-impact medical journals and several book chapters. He continues to contribute back to medical education by holding the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kings College London and Oslo University.
