Dr James Rakshi

Dr Rakshi has been incredible from the first consultation all the way through my epilepsy diagnose and continues to support me when I need it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a neurologist. Explained everything in terms I understood and is very approachable in his manner.

I have known Dr Rakshi, Consultant Neurologist, for a number of years having been referred by a colleague. Dr Rakshi diagnosed me immediately having carried out a number of extensive tests and treated me accordingly. He is particularly thorough, caring with a wonderful bedside manner. I had to go back and see him recently after an 8 year gap and he remembered me immediately and again treated me with the upmost care. I was not rushed in any of my consultations and felt very much at ease as he explained in detail his findings. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Rakshi.

Dr Rakshi took the time to go thought all my history and the conditions. After a number of test and specialist scans, no specific triggers could be identified for my conditions. This is where Dr Rakshi's knowledge and experience was excellent to explain how all the conditions are potentially working together and causing a combined reaction and each was triggering the other. Working through a number of treatments option which unfortunately did not work, he then suggested some other options which would not normally be thought of for my conditions, but given my triggers may provide relief and give options of a treatment plan by pin pointing the initial trigger condition. This kind of thinking has help achieve a period of pain relief for the first time in 3 years and although short term has now provided a way forward of possible treatment plan.

I was really pleased with my consultation with Dr Rakshi. I found him to be an excellent communicator and very knowledgable about his field. My tests were requested appropriately with timely feedback on the results. On the whole, a very pleasant experience.

Doctor Rakshi is the nicest doctor I’ve ever met. He makes you feel comfortable as soon as he meets you and you definitely feel like he genuinely cares and wants to help you. He is very warm and friendly. His advice to come off my current medication and put me on a new one for my migraines seems to be working a treat. He definitely knows his stuff.
